The Two Main Conversion Rules

- The Standard Rule: In almost all regions including Bihar, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand, a single Bigha is always divided into exactly 20 Katha. So, to convert Bigha to Katha here, simply multiply your value by 20.
- The Assam Exception: If you are dealing with land in Assam or certain other northeastern areas, the system changes completely. In Assam, 1 Bigha is equal to only 5 Katha. Here, you must multiply your Bigha value by 5.
